Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

Welcome on my blog mates, I’m really happy to write something about new very cool game, Warhammer Online. I’m playing in this game around month and I have quite nice character (Marauder on 35 level/ 40), well playing is really fun and lot of guys from World of Warcraft already go from WoW to WAR.
Game is MMORPG, so like in other games, you can pick class, you are discovering world and collecting experience points and items. Basically is similar to WoW but it isn’t…well Warhammer Online has coolest PvP and Realm vs Realm combat. I played on special areas where both sides (Order and Destruction) are fighting for stronghold, using heavy mortars, burning oils and powerfull organ cannon. Its really fun! On this areas you are earning experience points and also special RENOWN POINTS.

This points are related to special Renown Rank, you are collecting them and later obtaining new ranks and special abilities.
So in WAR you are collecting experience points and also renown points but this renown points are available only in combat against other players (after you kill one or you capture keep).

Warhammer Army

I want to share something else today- my Warhammer army!I didn’t mentioned before that im collecting Chaos!This side was always my favorite army, maybe little primitive ( they are tough in hand-to-hand combat and nothing else ), but miniatures are briliant. Ive got 5 regiments of Chaos Warriors (60), 5 regiments of Chaos Marauders (80), 6 of Chaos Knights (30), 4 Chaos Spawns, 20 Deamonnettes of Slaanesh, 1X Bloodthrister, 4 Chaos Chariots and few special characters like : Arbaal the Undefeated, Crom the Conqueror, Aekold Hellbrass, Scylla the Chaos Spawn and Archaon Lord of the End of Times.

Chaos army is typical army with less flexibility but great power - every unit is powerful and perfect in hth combat. They are very strong and difficult to beat. In the other hand they are expensive in battle points, and they have only 1 unit ( tell me if im wrong ) which can shoot ( flamers). My army is simple, i’ve got Chaos Marauders to shield my other unit and im using high speed chariots and spawns on my flanks. My pearls are Chaos Knights - they are my main attack power. I split them usually in two combat regiments ( 20 and 10 ) and attack from one side.

Warhammer Online fee

I heard that creators of Warhammer Online want to rise monthly fee from 14.99 $ per month to 18.99 or 19.99 $. Most of money from fee is used to pay for the upkeep of servers, create new patches and add-ons and –of course- profit.

I hope we do not see soon an astronomical increase in monthly fees -in a short period of time - much like the gas crisis of today.

Anyway for now I’m really busy, my whole last week was dominated by evil force far from Mordor…yeah Lord of the Rings Online has eaten me for hours. I really think now that MMO games are real time-eating monstrosity. I was playing trial for one week, and I hit 28 level (50 level max) it was like big grind-fest. All my work and college is in ruin, I must hurry now to save my life from MMO games

Now i want to add something about mmorpg guide - simple rules how to play in this type of of game - "know how" -

First thing is time, precious time - MMO games are real killers of your time, you are paying month after month with money but also with your time. You need to play very efficient and professional to don’t waste your time. So don’t waste your time doing stupid quests - leave them for someone stupid - you are smart!Take maximum of quests from one are and go to another. Picking single quest is stupid, if you are doing something do it on maximum!Remember also about other players - they can help you with any quest and in party is fun!Don’t sell stuff to vendors - but to players, possible 3x more money.

You must remmember - MMORPG will eat your time and soul. This genre is highly addiciting so watch out, ive had been playing in WoW 9 months day after day and its was big dissaster…

if you are interested you can check ten ton hammer, download from there all interview with one person from Mythic entertainment associate producer Josh Drescher. He is speaking about game, gameplay, warhammer universum and his life. He was hardcore players in Warhammer anyway .

If you’ve got newsletter from EA Mythic you should now about new profession from High Elves - Shadow Warrior. This presentation give us some light about this interesting carrier. Anyway your Shadow Warrior can be great bowmen killing everyone with his special abilities + bow or you can upgrade your character to do some damage by bow before hth combat. So as you see, there are two ways. Anyway take a look on link below. hehe its funny

news from china- china experts thinks that Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning is the best forreign game. News - Yahoo Games, are almost sure that Warhammer Online can beat Blizzard’s World of Warcraft and take crown. News- very interesting reviews of Warhammer on 1up.com - Dark Elves and High Elves, and some info generally about game.

Ive read some articles about Warhammer and almost every one is sure, that Warhammer is able to take place of World of Warcraft. Producers work very hard to deliver high quality product with very big potential. Games Workshop’s world of Warhammer is popular, mostly in Europe with games like Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Role Play, USA player mostly know better Warhammer 40.000.

Anyway im already thinking how to find some time in the near future and play in WAR. Ive played in Lotr - trial version but its not it. Im looking for something else. Game is dull and not in my type. Warhammer world premiere is around march or january, first quarter of 2008 anyway, so we must be patient heh..cheers

Becouse i did’t found anything interesting about Wahammer Online i just write again about Warhammer Fantasy Battle and my Chaos Army. As you may know, working on miniatures is sometimes very hard work, especially when you are painting for about 3 hourse without breake ( suicide ). Im not that stupid so im painting around 1 h 2 - 3 times per day. ( sometimes i think is harded then normal work - with computer and that kind of stuff) …anyway my army is large enough to stop for a while with e bay autions and work with this part of army. All my miniatures are waiting painted in chaos black. My chariot with 2 guys on it its almost ready , i think its ok - i had been painting for the first time heh.

Black and gold killing mashine - i want 2-3 for my army. Another things is cavalery - Chaos Knights - elite in cavalery of Warhammer. They live to seek death. Brutal heavy- armored knights on giant steeds. Main force of my army is infantry - yeah i know this isnt surprise. They are also very tough - ive got 24 of them. I need around 60-72.

After i complete my core units i need to complete my army with special characters - like Arbaal the Undeafeated ( pic above) he is real gold!pure gold!just gold!He is riding on his hound and destroy anyone on his way - perfect commander in chaos army. I dont know how to paint him :/ i don’t like this painting as on this screen is horrible. Red and gold but now blue. Maybe gold + silver + and red?i must think about this for 100 % gold and red - Khorne colors but what next?which color as 3?oh by the way new site about warhammer - http://warhammeronline.blogdrive.com/ and if you have problem with link > go here <

news from official site!new elven proffesion - for High Elves, Archmage and Sword Master. For Dark Elves - Witch Elf and Black Guard.

Unfortunately only 2 proffesion per one race was added, so we must wait for second part.

Archmage is master of magic, High Elves are very close to magic so their Archmage is best - of the- best. His spells are offensive and defensive - like healing or protect. Chaos warlocks are also very powerfull but spells are focused on destruction - all warlocks spells are offensive.

Sword Master is just master of combat in sword. He can fight with sword so well, that he almost dance with sword. He can in short time, do great amount of damage.

Dark Elves have Witch Elf - is basicly character like rogue - he’s got powerfull stabs in back, his single attack is very powerfull. He can also use poison and special potions to increase his potential in combat.

Black Guard is very brutal warrior, use heaviest armor and weapons like Halberds. He’s power is the power of his hate.

This new proffesions are very interesting alternative for proffesions already known.

will be released in 2008 and it think this game have very big chance for success - its different from World of Warcraft for adult player. Game is based on very popular Games Workshop’s Warhammer. On screen there is Dwarf - one from the race from game, but we can also pick human, elf ( humans are good or evil - you are picking your side). Player must pick Order or Forces of Destruction, and after that he is choosing his character’s race - if its Order - Empire, High Elves, Dwarfs, if he its Forces of Destruction - Chaos, Dark Elves, Orcs & Goblins.

Each race have its own specification and classes - you can be Dwarven Runesmith or Knight of The Rising Sun - of the Empire. If you are bad ( like me yeah ) you will pick Chaos and class of Chosen ( big, strong, violent fighter in heavy chaos armor ) or Chaos Warlock who can summon most powerfull daemons of Chaos ( Bloodthrister not included - ehh…) anyway game will be like delicious cookie i almost feel taste of this cookie!
